Creston Valley


Providing important ecological connectivity between the South Selkirk and South Purcell mountains, the Creston Valley—with the Creston Valley Wildlife Management Area as its centrepiece—is home to many at-risk species including the federally endangered northern leopard frog.

Kootenay Connect Partners

The lead organization in the Creston Valley focal area is the Creston Valley Wildlife Management Area. Other project partners in this area include: Trans-border Grizzly Bear Project, Nature Conservancy of Canada, Yaqan Nukiy, Farmland Advantage, Northern Leopard Frog Recovery Team, Ministry of Water, Land and Resource Stewardship.
